Nüshu, or 女书, is a script once known only to a small number of women who were barred from formal education in Chinese. Today, young women start to learn and spread this ancient script. They say they’re gaining women’s power from nüshu and building communities.

A 51’ documentary about how a Chinese fintech company strains the relationship between China and the global finance. In 2020, the Chinese government surprised global investors by suspending the $37 billion listing of Jack Ma's Ant Group, which was set to be the world's largest IPO. This move signaled China's increased control over its financial system, straining relations with home and foreign investors. Over the past three decades, China's opening-up had encouraged its tech giants to expand internationally and created wealth for many Chinese. However, the Ant Group's failed IPO raised confusion among Chinese and global investors about the stability of Chinese capital market.
